When I was a bit younger, I decided to start a project. I had squares of cardstock, patterned on one side and white on the other, and I cut each square into 4 cards. Then I wrote out 100 Bible verses. Some of the cards contained more than one verse, or half a verse, but there were at least 100 cards in total. So, I decided to choose 30 of my favorites from this collection. And here they are!

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.” (Job 38:4)
“Who determined its measurements—surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?” (Job 38:5)
“On what were its bases sunk,
or who laid its cornerstone,” (Job 38:6)
“when the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:7)
“fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” (Isaiah 41:13)
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1 B)
“I will open rivers on the bare heights,
and fountains in the midst of the valleys.
I will make the wilderness a pool of water,
and the dry land springs of water.” (Isaiah 41:18)
“I will put in the wilderness the cedar,
the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive.
I will set in the desert the cypress,
the plane and the pine together,” (Isaiah 41:19)
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
and marked off the heavens with a span,
enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure
and weighed the mountains in scales
and the hills in a balance?” (Isaiah 40:12)
“Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord,
or what man shows him his counsel?” (Isaiah 40:13)
“though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18 B)
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3 B)
“For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness.” (Psalm 18:28)
“even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.” (Psalm 139:12)
“I will not be afraid of many thousands of people
who have set themselves against me all around.” (Psalm 3:6)
“He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.” (Psalm 62:2)
“For you are great and do wondrous things;
you alone are God.” (Psalm 86:10)
“The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)
“The words of the Lord are pure words,
like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6)
“The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,” (Psalm 24:1 A)
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21)
“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” (Proverbs 4:18)

He who argues with God, let him answer it.” (Job 40:2)

he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.” (Daniel 2:22)
