Hey all!!! It's been a hot minute since I said I would post this, but here it finally is.

Today I want to share one of my favourite drinks, especially for summer: Iced Coffee.

My favourite flavour is caramel macchiato, and that's usually the flavour coffee creamer I have as well, so that's just generally how I make it.

Caramel Iced Coffee:

Yield: 1 iced coffee

Prep: 5mins

Total Time: 10mins

Equipment: 1 medium glass, spoon, espresso shot glass (optional), straw

Ingredients:

  • double shot espresso (see note)

  • 1-2 tbs brown sugar (see note)

  • caramel sauce (optional)

  • ice cubes about 5-6

  • 1/2 cup milk or enough to fill glass half way

  • caramel macchiato coffee creamer (optional)

  1. Prepare double espresso shot (see note) and stir in brown sugar (as much, for as sweet or unsweet, as you like) and set aside

  2. OPTIONAL: line/drizzle glass with caramel sauce (adds more flavour & looks pretty haha), and fill glass about half way with ice.

  3. Pour milk into glass until it just covers the ice.

  4. Pour in espresso shot

  5. Then add as much creamer as you like and drizzle more caramel sauce on top if desired.

  6. Finally add straw, stir a bit, and enjoy!

Notes:

If you can't make espresso, I always used very strong coffee, by either:

  • adding instant coffee to some brewed coffee I already had,

  • brewing very strong coffee,

  • or making very strong instant coffee.

You might have to experiment like I did too, lol.

For a brown sugar substitute you could use: Honey, Maple Syrup, or Granulated Sugar, as well. Like I said, you might have to experiment with how sweet you want it too.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this! If you try it out please email me or fill put the poll bellow! Until next time-
