Hey ya'll! long time no post, and I'm truly sorry for that. It's been a month for me, heck it's been a year. I've really been stuggling to find time for this, but here we are, end of the month and no monthly theme post yet. I can't remember if the newsletter told you about our new idea last month, but I'll be writing a post about a theme we pick at the start of each month, and Jacqueline will reflect on it in the newsletter at the end of each month.

As the title projects, this month's theme is May Flowers. As the saying goes, 'April showers bring May flowers.' We didn't have much for 'April showers' so to speak here in southern Alberta, but the 'May flowers' are still blooming bright and colourful in flower beds, gardens, and fields all around.
I'd like to share a couple quotes. First: "God spoke today though flowers, and I, who was waiting, almost missed the conversation." -Ingrid Goff-Maidoff.
Sometimes we miss the way God is speaking to us in the most beautiful and simple ways. We don"t always want to hear what God is trying to tell us, so we miss the ways in which his answers are shown. Like through the wildflowers that grow anywhere and everywhere, places people would never expect to see them, which brings us to my next quote: "Like wildflowers you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would."
I believe this reminder is something we need, quite often we grow the way people tell us to, and form into these pictures of influenced styles. Like the way we dress, or do our hair, being conviced we need to cover up those 'imperfections' on our face with makeup. We become layers and layers of built up, influenced, 'shadows' so to speak and hide who and what God made us to be. When you look at flower it shows an innocent form of beauty. It can't be influenced by other flowers to grow somewhere else or become a different colour, so why do we then, do all of that to cover our beauty?
Next time you see a wildflower, remember that they are exactly where, and what they are supposed to be, and so are YOU!
Our Verse of the Month:
"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." -Luke 12:27
Keep blooming like wildflowers ya'll, and remember you are right where you need to be. Enjoy the little things, they never happen twice.🌻
